OllieWise is a private wellness companion. This policy covers the OllieWise app and olliewise.com. The short version: your answers stay yours, we do not sell data, we do not run ads, and you can delete everything from inside the app.
Wellness information you enter. OllieWise works by asking you about yourself. Your answers are what make the app work for you.
This is health related information. We never use it for advertising, never sell it, and never share it except with the service providers below, who process it only on our instructions.
Account information. The app creates an anonymous account automatically so your data can be restored if you reinstall or change devices. You can choose to link an email address or Apple ID to sign in on another device.
Technical information. Crash reports (device model, OS version, and the technical state of the app when it crashed) and app usage events (which features are used, including summary results of your assessments) tied to your anonymous account identifier. We use these only to fix problems and improve the app.
Approximate location, if you allow it. The app uses your approximate location to work out your climate zone and season. It keeps the climate zone, the hemisphere, and a latitude rounded to a whole degree. It never stores a precise location.
What we do NOT collect: your name (unless you email us), precise location, contacts, photos, or advertising identifiers. We run no advertising trackers or pixels anywhere.
Waitlist email. If you join the waitlist on olliewise.com, we store the email address you submit, the time you submitted it, and whether you use an iPhone or an Android phone if you tell us. We use it to send a welcome note and to tell you when OllieWise opens. Giving it is voluntary.
Basic technical data. Our hosting provider processes standard connection information, such as IP address, to serve pages securely and prevent abuse. The website runs no analytics trackers and sets no cookies.
Your data is stored on your device first, and the app works fully offline. It is also mirrored to our cloud database under your account identifier, so it can be restored. Service providers that process data for us:
Wellness data is kept while your account exists and deleted when you delete your account. Crash and usage records are retained on standard Firebase schedules and are not tied back to you after account deletion. Website waitlist emails are kept until launch invitations go out or you ask to be removed, whichever comes first.
OllieWise is for adults. It is not directed at anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
