These terms cover the OllieWise app and olliewise.com. They are in plain language on purpose. The parts in bold are the ones that matter most.
OllieWise offers general wellness and lifestyle guidance drawn from Ayurvedic tradition: daily routines, habit suggestions, breath practices, and checks for reflecting on how you are doing.
OllieWise is not medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment, and is not a substitute for care from a qualified health professional. The app's assessments describe wellness patterns in a traditional framework. They are not medical conclusions. Consult your health professional before changing your routine, diet, or exercise, especially if you are pregnant, nursing, managing a condition, or taking medication. If you may be experiencing a medical or mental health emergency, do not use the app. Contact emergency services. The app asks a safety question at the start for exactly this reason. Please answer it honestly.
You must be 18 or older. We grant you a personal license, which you may not transfer, to use the app on Apple devices you own or control, as permitted by the App Store terms. Do not reverse engineer the app, misuse the service, or use it to build a competing dataset. Your wellness answers are yours. The app, its content, its habit library, and the OllieWise name and owl are ours (trademark application in progress).
The app creates an anonymous account. You may link an email or Apple ID. You can delete your account and all your data from inside the app at any time (Settings, then Delete account). How we handle data is covered by our Privacy Policy, which is part of these terms.
Early versions distributed through Apple TestFlight are for testing. Beta software changes, breaks, and may lose or reset data. Feedback you submit may be used to improve OllieWise without obligation to you. Apple's TestFlight terms also apply.
Joining the waitlist on olliewise.com does not guarantee access to OllieWise, a launch date, or any particular features. You can leave the list at any time by emailing hello@olliewise.com.
The app is currently free. If that changes, pricing will be clearly shown in the app before you pay anything, and these terms will be updated.
The app and website are provided "as is," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. To the fullest extent permitted by law, OllieWise LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app or website, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the greater of $50 or the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations. Where the law says otherwise, the law wins.
These terms are between you and OllieWise LLC, not Apple. Apple has no obligation to provide support or maintenance for the app and is not responsible for any claims relating to it. Apple and its subsidiaries are beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you.
We may suspend or end access for misuse of the service. We may update these terms. For meaningful changes we will say so in the app before they take effect, and continuing to use the app accepts the update. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Oregon, without regard to conflict of law rules, and disputes will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Oregon, unless the law of your home jurisdiction requires otherwise.
